HURRICANE
HARVEST HELP
Ever wanted to know what it's like running an apple orchard? Well, we are inviting you to experience it with us (and help us out a little too)...
Hurricane Ian has recently been classified as Category 4 but by the time it reaches Virginia, it could be severe rain and very windy weather. Why does this matter? Well, we could lose a lot of Golden Delicious apples and some of the older trees.
That’s where YOU come in - we need “all hands on deck” and what better way to do that in a pinch than to reach out to our amazing community?!
If you can, please consider coming to help us at the Orchard.
We will be hosting “Hurricane Harvest Days” Thursday and Friday to help save some of the trees and apples in the Orchard. With this unexpected storm, we would love to have volunteers help us with apple picking whenever you can. On our website you’ll find hourly slots available from 8:00am to 7:00pm - please RSVP for the time that works best for your schedule. For those of you that can help us, we will be giving you a BIG “thank you” by gifting you some of the Golden Delicious apples you’ll be helping us save, our classic Sweet Cider, AND Apple Cider Doughnuts.
